Other jobs – Whilst at school I did a paper round, worked in a bakery and waited on people in a pub in St Neots. Never again!

Career history – Started in radio on a YTS scheme in 1988 at Chiltern Radio in Bedford. Stayed 4 and a half years and trained myself in the studio. Became a presenter in 1992 after a few months doing a show at Community Radio Milton Keynes. Did various shows at Galaxy Radio in Bristol, The Chiltern Radio Network, Galaxy 101, Plymouth Sound, Metro FM, Hallam FM, Juice 107.2, Power FM, Kerrang! Radio and Heart. I stopped doing full time radio after an amazing 25 years in 2013.

Stuff outside work – More work (!), gigs, festivals, and updating websites and social media pages.

Dream holiday destination – Mexico, The Maldives.

Favourite bands – Slipknot, Muse, Feeder, Foo Fighters, Adam and the Ants, Metallica, Placebo, Kasabian, My Chemical Romance and Nirvana.

Favourite food and drink – Roast dinner and champers or spaghetti bolognese and red wine!

Highlights of my career so far – Burping with the Foo Fighters. Dave and Taylor are quite windy! Winning Promoter of the Year at the Pure Rawk Awards in 2011, 2012 and 2013 was amazing. Writing my first book was a great achievement for me and I was very proud when I held it in my hands for the first time! My second book “If It was My Band…” has stepped up my level of pride.  I love it!

Ambitions for the future – Finish books 3,4,5 and 6. Do more radio training, start doing radio again, get a dog, own a small holding farm with chickens, cows, pigs and goats.
