Q and A with Greenwood Park

19th January 2013 by Emma Scott

Describe your sound:

Raw passionate rock and roll with a lot of energy and soul!

Highlights with the band so far?

So many! Playing up and down the country, did a few small festivals last summer and played some gigs in Malta. As well as releasing our EP in late 2012

Hopes for the future?

At the moment we’re working on new material to release this year, the ultimate goal would be to make a living from playing our music!

What music are you into?

We’re all into a lot of different things, I thing that’s what give us our sound, some of our favourites are Les Zeppelin, Black sabbath, Foo Fighters, Tracer, Black keys,  early Stevie wonder, the list just goes on and on.

What can we expect from your live set?

Loads ad energy and volume… Normally a bit of banter too!

What’s your website/facebook info?

Do you have any material to buy?

Yeah we have 2 EPs on iTunes at the moment and there are 3 new demo’s available to stream and download for free on our Facebook page.

Why should people come and see you play live?

People should come see us play because we have an energy that’s been lost in todays music, we have the passion and soul for the music we make and play! And Dale’s there ;)

Do any of the band members have any weird habits?

Wills face’s when he’s drumming are becoming pretty legendary at the shows, but that’s more entertaining than weird. Other than that there’s nothing we can write on here….

Any upcoming releases?

Yeah! We’re planning a new release towards the summer hopefully a full length album!

What is the best gig you’ve ever played?

Best gig… That’s a tough one probably the show’s in Birmingham at the O2 or When we played in Camden at Halloween… That was entertaining!

How about the worst?

Worst? Probably when we traveled to a venue that was basically in the basement of a pub, could hardly fit the gear down there and there wasn’t even a light!

If you could play with any one in the world, alive or dead for one night only, who would it be?

I think we’d all have a different opinion on that, I’d say if there was one we’d all agree on it’d be Dave Grohl. Even our Manager Dean agrees though he was mumbling something about John Bonham.
