Q and A with Structures

29th November 2012 by Emma Scott

Interview with Ian Clarke.

Q. So tell us about the band.

A. We’ve been going in various lineups for a few years, I formed the band initially, but when E joined we really started to find our own direction…When Jon joined we came on leaps and bounds and Dicky has brought us on another level again.

Q. Do any of the band members have any weird habits?

A. Yes. I’m not going to elaborate on that one though…It’s for the best.

Q. What are your plans for the future?

A. We’re planning a launch gig for our new album and fingers crossed we could have a couple of very nice support slots coming up in the new year…

Q. Any upcoming releases?

A. Yup, we’re about to release our second album “Your First Day As Part Of Our World”

Q. What is the best gig you’ve ever played?

A. I’d say either supporting And So I Watch You From Afar over at The Institute or our first album launch gig where we ferried the audience into the middle of nowhere on a coach and played our set in an old victorian barn…

Q. How about the worst?

A. We’ve been lucky as far as on stage catastrophes go, so far anyway.

Q. If you could play with any one in the world, alive or dead for one night only, who would it be?

A. Mikael Ackerfeldt of Opeth or Stephen Wilson of Porcupine tree personally.
